An important milestone of the regeneration in The Brook area at Chatham town centre has been reached, marking the half-way stage of the scheme. mhs homes has invested over £12 million to regenerate The Brook area, with three development sites progressing well at Eldon Street, Upbury Way and Cross Street. The scheme will provide 77 new homes across the three sites, replacing 47 post-war housing stock. To reduce the impact on the environment, the homes at both Eldon Street and Upbury Way will feature ‘green’ living roofs. Gary Clark, Operations Director at mhs homes, said: "These exciting development plans will help to transform this area of Chatham with the addition of attractive and high quality homes. This forms part of a £37 million investment into 255 new homes during this financial year. Further regeneration is planned for 89 apartments near to the new Rochester rail station in Corporation Street, Rochester."
