An all-new Farmers' Market is set to launch from early September at the Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham. The market will be held on the first Saturday of every month between 9am and 2pm on the first floor of the Pentagon Court (adjacent to DW Sports), an opportunity to celebrate local producers and craftspeople. A spokesperson for the Pentagon Shopping Centre commented that the market will offer a "truly unique shopping experience". The Farmers' Market comes as a welcome new addition to the vibrant retail scene of Chatham town centre, echoing ideas of a market in the former Pentagon Bus Station a few years ago. A trial Farmers' Market was present at the recent 'Love Chatham' community event in late July, which proved to be a success with several stalls featuring local produce along the improved public realm on Military Road.
