People of all ages can show off their creative skills and be part of a fantastic opportunity to come together with other local residents very soon, as a new Lego Club is planned to launch in the Luton area of Chatham. The Luton Lego Club is set to welcome their first members in the following weeks, as Arches Local have confirmed a funding agreement with Natasha Steer, owner of Creatabot, to run the project with the All Saints Community Project. The club aims to give local people the chance to have a place where they can be creative, and also bring people together in the community.
It will be running at the Magpie Centre on Magpie Hall Road in Chatham on August 23 and 30, as well as October 27 and February 14 (2017). Each session on those dates will run between 10:45am - 12:45pm. Admission is free for ages 4 and above, although a voluntary donation of £1 towards All Saints Community Project is also welcome. Natasha Steer, owner of Creatabot, said: "Lego is like a universal language, it is great for girls, boys, women, men and all ages! I wanted to have an event that was affordable, creative and brought people together. I have found Lego Clubs are a great way of doing this and I'm looking forward to helping kids, and parents, make some awesome colourful creations. I am really thankful to be funded by Arches Local and to collaborate with All Saints Community Project for the new club!"
