A fast food chain has temporarily closed its branch in Chatham High Street to complete a major refurbishment. Burger King has closed to customers for a number of weeks while "exciting" refurbishment works are undertaken. Contractors have been recently seen stripping out the interior of the branch, with the suspended ceiling and lighting completely removed. A spokesperson for Burger King UK said: "Our Burger King restaurant located at 247 High Street, Chatham, is currently undergoing an exciting refurbishment.
"Work began on March 3rd to showcase our updated, modern restaurant design roll out, using natural materials with a bold colour palette and American prints. "We can confirm that the restaurant will be reopening in the coming weeks." The branch was open for takeaway orders only as a result of the current Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. Founded in 1954, Burger King has grown to become the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world, with over 500 branches alone in the UK. Comments are closed.
