An all-new Farmers' Market is set to launch from early September at the Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham. The market will be held on the first Saturday of every month between 9am and 2pm on the first floor of the Pentagon Court (adjacent to DW Sports), an opportunity to celebrate local producers and craftspeople. A spokesperson for the Pentagon Shopping Centre commented that the market will offer a "truly unique shopping experience". The Farmers' Market comes as a welcome new addition to the vibrant retail scene of Chatham town centre, echoing ideas of a market in the former Pentagon Bus Station a few years ago. A trial Farmers' Market was present at the recent 'Love Chatham' community event in late July, which proved to be a success with several stalls featuring local produce along the improved public realm on Military Road. It has recently been revealed that EGGLA, an Asian lifestyle concept store, will be opening soon in the Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham. No further information has been retrieved regarding what customers should expect, or when the store is estimated to open. The management team temporarily opened up an indoor 'Ping Pong Parlour' in January 2018, allowing visitors to use the table tennis facilities for free of charge. EGGLA is currently recruiting a shop fitter and painter to assist with the formation of their new store. Interested individuals are urged to call 07590033933 or ask in-store for further details.
